Low Meh
(Inspired by Low Morale, and warmly dedicated to Laith Bahrani)
Am not afraid, not afraid to stare
The jungle’s full of snakes,
But somehow am not scared
The noise’s freaking me ’round
You’re not the one I wanted,
Am not the one you love.
And am compelled to beg you to
Fire me, fan me, hold me,
For I am lost
Slap me, eat me, Fish me
Make this rush
Shred me, Blast me, hug me,
Am quite alone.
I think I finally got where to go.
I was afraid, when I heard those tales
The jungle’s full of threads,
The enemy is on my neck
Condition me around,
Tells me where I am
But truth crushes me up, and I can see the escape.
And am compelled to beg you to…
Fire me, fan me, hold me,
For I am lost
Slap me, Eat me, Fish me
Make this rush
Shred me, Blast me, Hug me,
Am all alone.
I see the light at the end of the tunnel
Its not jungle’s fault, am just too weak or dummy
This place is like a hell,
But somehow am not scared
As I look up above,
All I see is the end.
